Hanging Your Frame: Attaching the Hanging Hardware

Hanging Your Frame: Attaching the Hanging Hardware

Oh, how we adore seeing our frames gracefully adorning your walls! At Frametolia, our goal goes beyond just providing you with stylish and sustainable frames. We want to ensure that you have all the knowledge and tools to hang them effortlessly and securely. Let's dive into the art of hanging frames – it's easier than you think!

Step 1: Gather Your tools

First things first, let's gather all the essentials. Every Frametolia gallery frame ships with the necessary hardware:

  • 2 D-rings
  • 2 screws
  • metal wire.

To ensure a flawless installation, grab:

  • tape measure
  • pencil for marking
  • screwdriver
  • the perfect hook, nail or screw for your wall type

Don't forget to consider the weight of your frame, making sure you have the appropriate supplies at hand.

Step 2: Measure, Divide, and Conquer

You'll want to place your d-rings on the correct spot on the frame. Measure the length of the vertical sides of your frame and divide it by 3. This number will guide you to the perfect spot to install your D-rings.

Mark a third of the way from the top of the frame – the sweet spot where your D-rings will find their home. Now, here's the secret: The eyelets (triangles) on the D-rings should be pointing inside the frame. Securely screw the D-rings in the center of the frame's width, a third of the way from the top. If needed, carefully use a drill to start the hole, ensuring the frame remains unscathed.

Attach both D-rings onto opposite vertical sides of the frame, and then fix the wire onto the eyelets (triangles), making sure the wire runs horizontally across the frame. You can tie a knot and twist the excess wire around the wire or eyelet. Just remember, the wire should not show from behind the frame. If necessary, trim the excess wire, but make sure you have enough length to tie a knot onto the D-ring securely.

Step 3: Hanging the hook

Measure the width of the frame at the desired height on your wall. We recommend hat you hang your artwork so it's center hangs at 60" to 66" from the floor. Mark the center and a third of the frame's length down. This is where your trusty hook/screw/nail will go. Hang the frame on the hook, and voilà! Sit back, relax, and bask in the breathtaking view that now graces your walls.
